Mamnoon Street Spices Up Amazonland
The Seattle Times
Seattle Times food writer, Bethany Jean Clement, calls out mamnoon street as a “winner in the new Amazon Doppler building in the Regrade”. Owners Wassef and Racha Haroun recently brought their delicious dishes from their beloved Middle Eastern restaurant, mamnoon on Capitol Hill, to downtown Seattle. In addition to mamnoon street, the Haroun’s also added anar– a casual juice and vegetarian restaurant to the collection of 8 new spots all geared to appeal to hungry tech workers.
At mamnoon street, diners will find most of the same dishes found at the original location, but now adding cocktails and shawarma, the Levantine Arab preparation where meats are placed on a vertical spit and grilled. Shavings are cut off the block of meat for serving and the remainder continues to heat on the rotating spit.
